Choosing the skip bin size you need can be tricky. You don’t want to order a skip bin that is too small, as overloading the skip bins is prohibited and carries extra charges. However, you don’t want to pay more than you need to by ordering a skip bin which is too big for your needs.
The guide below gives you the dimensions of the skip bins, and approximately how much waste each sized skip bin can carry. We currently have 5 convenient skip bin sizes to choose from:
2 Cubic Meter Mini Bins
- Equivalent to 2 x (6×4) trailer loads or 10 x 240L council wheelie bins.
- 1.4m wide x 1.8m long x 0.9m high.
- Perfect for general household waste, mixed waste, concrete only, clean fill (soil/dirt only – no concrete or general waste), unclean fill (soil mixed with green and/or concrete), and green waste only.
- 2 cubic meter skip bins do not have doors.
3 Cubic Meter Mini Skips
- Equivalent to 3 x (6×4) trailer loads or 14 x 240L council wheelie bins.
- 1.5m wide x 2m long x 1m high (Some of our 3 cubic meter skip bins are taller and shorter but do not have doors. If you need a specific size, please mention this when booking your mini skip).
- Perfect for general household waste, mixed waste, concrete only, and green waste only.
- Most 3 cubic meter skip bins do have doors. (If you need a door, please mention this when booking the mini skip).
4 Cubic Meter Skip Bins
- Equivalent to 4 x (6×4) trailer loads or 18 x 240L council wheelie bins.
- 1.5m wide x 2.7m long x 1.1m high.
- Perfect for household/yard clean ups: general household waste, mixed waste, green waste only.
- 4 cubic meter skip bins do have doors.
6 Cubic Meter Skip Bins
- Equivalent to 6 x (6×4) trailer loads or 25 x 240L council wheelie bins.
- 1.5m wide x 3m long x 1.5m high
- Perfect for household/garden clean ups & rubbish removal: general household waste, green waste only.
- 6 cubic meter skip bins do have doors.
7 Cubic Meter Skip Bins
- Equivalent to 7 x (6×4) trailer loads or 29 x 240L council wheelie bins.
- 1.6m wide x 4m long x 1.5m high
- Perfect for household/garden clean ups & rubbish removal: general household waste, green waste only.
- 7 cubic meter skip bins do not have doors.
